Whats up with the name??

Once i heard 'Upside Down Pickle in a Jar' as a metaphor for a baby in a womb, and thought it was pretty fitting for our blog. This is for all the family and friends that Ben and I unfortunately dont get to speak to often. You can feel like you are here in all the action!

GO BAG!

I mentioned a few weeks ago, that I was going to do a post about what I packed in my Go Bag. My Go Bag is the bag we will be grabbing on the way out the door. It contains Mine and Finn's items for the hospital stay. We will leave the diaper bag and blanket in the car until we need it, and Ben will have to come home and feed Jasper and let him smell a blanket of Finn's, so he doesn't have anything to bring except a toothbrush. Here's a peek:

Le Bag

Les Pads. I wasn't sure if I would like the hospital ones, or how big to get them, so I bought two different sizes and packed a few of each.

Toiletries: L-R
Nursing pads, Lanolin, soap, razor, toothbrushes, brush, shampoo, conditioner, more soap (?), hand sanitizer.
I will also have my everyday makeup bag in my purse which has hair bands and pins and contact lens stuff and chapstick.

Blue and white blanket for Finn's hospital picture, Jasper is smelling a receiving blanket that Ben will bring home for him, and a nursing cover in case I need it.

The first three things are newborn and the last is 0-3 months. Wasn't sure how much to bring for him, so I just packed a few things. Ben picked out the striped sleeper to bring him home in since it is suuuuuper soft. The blue onesie is from his Aunt Amy, and this may be the only time he gets to wear it, depending on his size. Ben also picked out the brown and white sleeper with bib. And I just packed the last outfit in case he is bigger and want to put him in something cute until someone can grab a few things from home.

This is the first book we bought him and we both wanted to bring it to the hospital.

Then there's me. I decided not to go get cutesy pajamas for the hospital because I don't want them to get messed up, so I plan on wearing the gowns they provide. I did, however, buy a pink robe in the top left corner. Then I have my striped PJ pants, just in case. then a blue maternity shirt that I will wear home with a pair of pants I cant pack yet. On the bottom row I have a nursing tank, and nursing bra and panties and socks.
Everything else, like camera and phone and baby book will have to be grabbed last minute, but as far as this goes, I feel pretty set!
